About Mojo
I Believe in Magic.
Growing up in New Orleans, steeped in the traditions of Mardi Gras, bayou legends, and tales of folk magic (often referred to as gris-gris or mojo), I often felt like I was living in a different world than the “normal” people I saw every day on TV.
Today, when I speak to agents from across the country, I often hear in their voices the pain and frustration they feel as, every day, they do their best to support themselves and their families in our current market.
And then, I’ll speak to an agent who seems to be living in a different world entirely.
This agent is extremely busy, working with motivated buyers and sellers, and seems happy and excited, both about what they’re doing now and about the possibilities of the future. Invariably, this is an agent who’s got “some of that Good Mojo” and is not stingy about spreading it around.
And what exactly is this “Good Mojo,” I’m referring to?
Well, Mojo is kind of hard to describe from the outside, looking in. It’s subtle and elusive and defies easy description. But I can tell you this:
Mojo is magnetism and charisma.
Mojo is charm and luck, confidence and power.
Mojo inspires and attracts.
Mojo … flows.
And we are, all of us, drawn to those with Good Mojo.
When we’ve got our Mojo working for us, new clients seem to flock to us like magic and are always loyal to us. Friends and acquaintances go out of their way to refer new business to us. And we know for a fact that everything is going to work out for the best.
But I’ll let you in on a little secret…
I only really believe in a certain kind of magic… and it’s not really the kind of magic you hear about in stories.
I think the writer Arthur C. Clarke said it best:
“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
And I do—most definitely– believe in Technology.
You see, I think the difference between agents who always seem to effortlessly conjure up new business and those who don’t is often technology—and yes, I do mean “technology” at least partly in the sense of bits & bytes and silicon chips, but I also mean something else.
I mean Technology in the sense of strategy and know-how.
Agents armed with the right marketing strategy and know-how often walk among other, less-fortunate agents and hear them whisper, “everything just seems to go her way” or “he must just have some good mojo helping him out” and the agent with the strategy and the know-how just smiles, knowing that in a way, they’re right.
You see, implementing the right marketing strategies takes care of a lot of the details of client attraction. But the Mojo—that comes from the inside and comes from the confidence of knowing– Knowing that you possess the Technology necessary for success.
And that’s why I staked out this little corner of the web. I want to share with you, and other agents like you, some of the powerful and effective internet marketing strategies I’ve learned over the past 12 years of attracting my own clients and customers online (and the new strategies I continue to learn daily).
I want to share with you some of that marketing strategy and know-how and marketing technology, so that you can use it, too. I want to help as many agents as I can to find their own Mojo and to help them learn how to attract new clients online, as if by magic.
So, feel free to stay and hang out awhile and see what we have to offer. Read a bit, share your thoughts, and if you like what you see, spread some Good Mojo of your own by pointing others this way.
